Chesterfield Canal Trust Clean up Day
Our next canal clear-up is on Saturday 31st July.
Meet at the canal by Main Road Bridge, just up from the car park, at 1.30 p.m.
Please bring shears, loppers, hedge trimmers, strimmers, brush cutters etc. to clear the towpath towards Miners Crossing.
All welcome to come and help.
We will be finished by 3.30 p.m.

During the School Summer Holidays Eckington Community Pantry will be providing children with free food hampers.
Available slots: Thursday 29th July, Thursday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th August (between 10am and Noon)
Eligible for Families who live in Eckington, Renishaw, Spnkhill, Marsh Lane, Troway or Ridgeway with Children living at home aged under 18.

Covid Vaccine Passport Scam
We have been made aware of a Covid Vaccine Passport scam email going around that purports to be from the NHS and informs recipients that they can apply for their "Digital Coronavirus Passports"
Clicking on the link within the email, takes you to a convincing but fake NHS website that asks for personal and payment details. (for an admin fee)

Eckington Summer Festival CANCELLED
As you will be aware, on Monday, the UK Government announced that Covid restrictions would not be lifted until 19th July, which obviously is not in time for our event. Whilst this does not mean necessarily that the event is prohibited from taking place, it does mean that a large number of very complicated and onerous Covid safety requirements must be met in order to proceed safely.
