Eckington Cemetery
Over the last couple of weeks we have received a number of messages and emails regarding the security of Eckington Cemetery. Due to these, the Parish Council are currently in the process of looking into automatic gates. Fly Tipping Incident
A Sheffield resident has paid a £200 fixed penalty notice for an illegal waste deposit offence in Eckington. The waste was found on Pipworth Lane by an Enforcement Officer within the Environmental Health service whilst on patrol. Eckington Parish Church Heritage Festival
Eckington Church will be open to the public on Saturday 11th September as part of a nationwide heritage festival. You will be able to explore the Grade 1 listed church and its bell tower. Meet at the canal by Main Road Bridge, just up from the car park, at 1.30 p.m.
Please bring shears, loppers, hedge trimmers, strimmers, brush cutters etc. to clear the towpath towards White Bridge

Eckington Summer Festival CANCELLED
As you will be aware, on Monday, the UK Government announced that Covid restrictions would not be lifted until 19th July, which obviously is not in time for our event.
