Council prepares £20m bid to transform Eckington town centre
North East Derbyshire District Council is preparing a bid for up to £20m to transform Eckington town centre as part of the government's levelling up agenda.
If the bid is successful, it could see the centre having improved public spaces and parking, new housing and commercial property. Improvements to Lansbury Road park are also part of the proposals.

Speed Watch held on B6056 Marsh Lane
On 1 June 2022 - Main Road past the Fox and Hounds towards Eckington, a speed watch session was held to check the speed of the cars coming up from the petrol station towards the first speed camera.

Severn Trent Water - Eckington School
You may be aware of a burst water main close to Eckington school. We have been told by Severn Trent Water that it is likely they will be working on site all week with 4-way traffic lights in place.
As far as we are aware the burst is no longer causing any water supply issues, however it is likely the roadworks will cause delays. Derbyshire County Council are liaising with Severn Trent to escalate this... Read More »
