Walking Festival

Our Walking Festival starts on Saturday 11th and runs through to Sunday 19th. Some walks are already fully booked. Click here for all information and bookings.

Tapton Lock Festival

Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th. Please see the attached. Our promotional trailer, James Brindley, will be there and John Varley will be running taster trips.

Retford Heritage Day

Saturday 11th. We will have a stall near Town Lock, Seth Ellis will be running cruises and Python will be there.

Renishaw Walk

We will have a walk to explain the works that will be carried out in the next few years at Renishaw on Saturday 18th at 2 p.m. All welcome. Meet at the Derbyshire County Council car park next to the Sitwell Arms in Renishaw, S21 3WF. We will also find out about the Derbyshire Lines deviation from the 1890s.


All our boats are taking plenty of charters, plus the following public cruises which can all be booked online.

John Varley continues to run its Sunday cruises from Tapton Lock and will do a Staveley Packet cruise on Saturday 25th.

Madeline continues to run its Saturday and Wednesdays from Hollingwood Hub, including Cream Tea cruises.

Hugh Henshall will do a Shireoaks/Turnerwood return cruise on Saturday 11th.

Seth Elis will be running cruises at Retford Heritage Day on Saturday 11th, at the Chequers Inn on Sunday 19th and at Drakeholes on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th.

Dawn Rose

Dawn Rose will be demonstrating horseboating from the Lock Keeper pub in Worksop on Sundays 12th and 26th.

Information Centre & Shop

Our Information Centre and Shop at Hollingwood Hub is open almost every day from 11 to 3. If you would like to volunteer to help, please reply to this email.
