Snow Warden Scheme

Derbyshire County Council Snow Warden Scheme 2020-21

The Council's Snow Warden Scheme continues to be successful and although last year's winter was mild a number of Parish's joined the scheme with volunteers helping to clear snow and ice and grit footways and pavements.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

Sadly, in the light of the latest guidelines there will be no Remembrance Sunday service in church this year. The wreath laying event at the war memorials in the parish will not take place either.

Footpath No. 40 Closure

Footpath No. 40 Closure

Temporary Footpath Closure – Public Footpath No 40 Eckington

WHEN: 9th November 2020 - 20 December 2020.

WHERE: Close Public Footpath No 40 from the main road for 90 metres.

REASON: To allow for demolition and replacement of adjoining wall.

No alternative route recommended.

The footpath will reopen as soon as the work is completed.

New online postcode checker launched for Derbyshire

The new restrictions now in force across parts of Derbyshire cover a very specific area and may not follow natural boundaries that local people understand - it might even be the case that people living in the same street could be subject to different rules.
