Whistle Blowing Policy
All Councils face the risk of things going wrong or unknowingly harboring malpractice. The Council believes it has a duty to identify such situations and take the appropriate measures to remedy the situation. By encouraging a culture of openness within the Council, it is hoped that such problems can be prevented.
This policy applies to all Employees of the Council and other workers including temporary, subcontracted and agency workers.

Equality and Diversity Policy
The aim of the policy is to communicate the commitment of Eckington Parish Council, its Members, Officers and Staff to work within the spirit and practice of the Equality Act 2010. The Equality Duty applies to public bodies and others carrying out public functions. It supports good decision making by ensuring public bodies consider how different people will be affected by their activities, helping them to deliver policies, representation and services, which are efficient and effective; accessible to all; and which meet different people's needs.

Asset Management Strategy
The Asset Management Strategy (AMS) provides the Council with the overarching objectives in its management of assets in an effective, economical and efficient manner.
Most people use the Council's assets in some shape or form, whether it be the community halls, cemetery, allotments or play areas. As such they make a huge contribution to the wellbeing of our community.
