My name is Philip Wheelhouse and I am married to Gail, we have 2 grown up daughters and 5 grandchildren. I have lived in Eckington for over 50 yrs and have always been involved in the community. My previous jobs were assistant mechanical engineer in mining and then I became the Parish Handyman for 11 yrs. I have been involved in parent teachers associations, school governor at Eckington School, Woodview Residents Group, and helping to save Foxton Wood from opencast mining. Since retiring I am involved with our litter picking group and also Eckington Town Team who are committed to improving our Parish. I have become a councillor hoping to be able to do more for our residents in the Parish.
