Eckington Safer Neighbourhood Team

The Eckington Safer Neighbourhood Team is made up of Sergeant Tony Klenczar, PC Shamaine Mellish PC Pete Mc Veigh and Police Community Support Officers Dale Merchant.& Mathew Shaw

The team covers Eckington, Marsh Lane and Renishaw and is committed to making your community safer and helping you feel more secure.

We work with partner agencies such as the council and fire service to tackle your concerns and provide lasting solutions.
The priority issues that we are currently focussing on are:

·Tackling anti-social behaviour and nuisance youths at Co-op, Fir Road;
·Tackling anti-social behaviour in the vicinity of the Duke of York pub;
·Reducing anti-social behaviour and drug use around the Co-op and bus station on Pinfold Street.

These issues were agreed at your last community partnership meeting. These meetings are open to everybody and allow you to affect what you feel needs addressing in your area.

We also continue our operations to tackle nuisance motorbikes in the area and have seized and destroyed nine illegal bikes in the last few months.
