The extensive cemetery, just outside Eckington, contains much of local interest. The grave records have been digitised and can be accessed from this website.
Eckington Civic Centre is owned by Eckington Parish Council and is available for rent for functions and meetings. Other Community Halls owned by Eckington Parish Council are in the villages of Renishaw and Marsh Lane and both are available for rent.
Eckington Parish Council has Allotments in Eckington and Marsh Lane, and Play Areas throughout the Parish. It produces a quarterly newsletter.
Within Eckington Parish lies Renishaw Hall and Gardens, home to the Sitwell family for over 400 years and a Grade I listed building. Both the house and gardens are open to the public. The Sitwell family includes the prolific writers Edith, Osbert and Sacherverell Sitwell. The extensive Italianate gardens are renowned for their magnolias, bluebells and delphiniums. The parish also boasts the Grade I listed Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul plus two Grade II* buildings and a number with a Grade II listing.
