A weekly Market is held on the  precinct  Market Street  Precinct in the Town Centre..
The Civic Centre, Marsh Lane and Renishaw and Spinkhill Village Hall are available for hire :-see Community Halls .

Renishaw Hall the home of the Sitwell family is situated in the Parish. The Gardens are open to the public from March to October.

The Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul celebrated its 900th anniversary in the year 2000. It is exceptional architecturally being one of the best preserved examples in Derbyshire

North East Derbyshire District Council has a Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool in the Centre of Eckington and Derbyshire County Council runs the local Library
